Mad Lori. Live and in person.

Hi. I'm Lori. I'm not mad...well, not in the sense of being angry. My username is a truncation of "madlorivoldmort," my previous username, which came about when a friend observed that Tom Marvolo Riddle, while it can (as we know) be rearranged to read "I Am Lord Voldemort" can also be rearranged to read "Mad Lori Voldemort." Heh. So no, I do not face the world with hostility and ill-favor. Quite the opposite, in fact. But I am mad in the sense that I am wacky and madcap! Let the hijinks ensue!

I'm 36, I'm a chemist and a writer. Lori = science geek. My goal is to be able to quit my job and write full time. I've published one novel under a pseudonym and have more in the works, so fingers crossed.

I attempt to be interesting and amusing whenever possible (the operative word being "attempt"). I often discuss books, music, TV, films, my sporadic cooking seizures, my pack of wacky friends, my parents' (wereontheroad) great post-retirement RV adventure, my love affair with my iPod, my opinions and commentaries on This Crazy World We Live In, my semi-regular attacks of craftiness, and my various and sundry fangirly obsessions.
